Where does a door actually get hit?
Not at eye level. In the bottom third.
The kicked ball, the dragged patio chair, the dog leaning its full weight against the glass to get out first.
That is precisely where most gliding doors put their thinnest material. The 3/4 Lite glazes the upper three-quarters of each panel and backs the lower quarter with a solid fiberglass rail, so the part built to take contact is the part doing the work, and the part built to disappear is left alone to do that.

01 · The panel
A panel that carries its own weight
Two hundred fifty pounds of glass and fiberglass, moving on two wheels instead of one.
Each panel runs on stainless steel tandem rollers over a sealed track, a second wheel per carriage rather than a single point of contact, so the load is shared and the panel tracks straight instead of dragging at the leading edge as it ages.
A white handle set and lockset arrive factory-fitted to the operating panel. Nothing to source, nothing to bore; the door opens the way it will keep opening.
02 · The glass
Three ways to glaze the same opening
The 3/4-lite rule stays fixed. What changes is how the glass reads.
Grilles between the glass set a visible grid inside the sealed unit, with no bar to clean. Simulated divided light adds surface-mounted bars for a more traditional profile. Clear removes the pattern and lets the opening read as one pane above the rail.
All three run on the same tempered, Low-E glass, in the same sizes, with the same performance.
03 · The frame
A frame that doesn't take on weather
Fiberglass composite, not wood dressed to look like it.
The frame and panel are fiberglass composite with a solid core, which is what keeps a gliding door square in its opening season after season: no swelling in humidity, no rot at the sill, no rust in the track hardware.
Behind the tempered pane sits a Low-E glass unit; behind the frame, a polyurethane foam core and compression weatherstripping that seals tighter as the door closes, rather than wearing thin against a brush strip.
